The 2013 Year 7 & 8 Hampshire Schools' finals took place in glorious weather at the Totton & Eling Tennis Centre on Thursday 11 July.
Three schools took part, Hounsdown representing The New Forest, Kings representing Winchester, and Horndean from Waterlooville.
The event was organised on a round-robin basis with each of the four players, two girls and two boys from each school, playing four singles and two doubles matches.
Kings established themselves as front-runners early on and maintained their form to win from runners-up and last year's winners Hounsdown, who stayed in contention until near the end.
It was a pleasure to host the event and all the players were a credit to their schools in terms of their sportsmanship, and the atmosphere they created.
