The 16U Schools Doubles Championships were held on Thursday 2nd July at Totton and Eling Tennis Centre and refereed by Richard Carter. In total there were 16 boys pairs and 7 girls pairs from 8 schools across the County.
The Championships went off very successfully and the atmosphere was excellent with high levels of sportsmanship and camaraderie all day. Both the boys and girls events were run as round robins leading to knock-out draws.
In the girls event both St Swithun's pairs reached the final with Zoe Upcraft and Emily Wickham defeating Alicia Morris and Bella Monkton.
The boys final was won by Robert Mays represented by Ryan Golesworthy and Daniel Nightingale who defeated Joshua Hosier and Tom Shipton of Ballard.
Congratulations to St Swithuns and Robert Mays for winning two years in a row!
