The JEM Tennis Academy in Hamble made the most of the summer weather in early October to run an “Introduction to Tennis” day for local Spanish families.
By working with Aula Espanol, the coaching team of Colin Murphy and Mike Johnson welcomed over 100 people to the courts. Throughout the day, they were joined by Spanish coach, Juan David Cano and everyone received an action-packed and exciting introduction to the game.
But with the amazing weather, it wasn’t all tennis, as everyone received Paella and Sangria in typical Spanish style.
The JEM Tennis Academy in Hamble are an accredited Beacon Site for the Tennis Foundation, and are committed to offering free and affordable tennis to local people. They’ve already begun working on the next event and hope to attract even more people in the future.
