Church wins at Hamble

Totally Tennis player Liam Church breezed through the draw at this weekends Junior Grade 5 Competition at JEM tennis Academy, Hamble.

The number one seed in the 16&U boys event dropped just five games on his way to winning, defeating Daniel Haigh from Thornden Tennis Club in the final to walk away with 50 rankings points.

The event was part of the Winter County Tour of Grade 5 competitions, which allows players to compete locally and work towards improving their AEGON British Ranking.

Elsewhere, at Littleton Tennis Club in Winchester, Nathan Tuffley had a great day in winning the 12&U boys event, defeating top seed Oscar Donaldson in a closely fought final.

There was also some action for the men this weekend, as JEM Tennis Academy again hosted a men's matchplay event aimed at singles players from accross Hampshire.
