Beginners from across Hampshire competed for the first time last weekend at Clash of the Clubs. The annual event brings Mini Tennis players from clubs throughout the county together to compete in a fun and friendly environment for the first time.
In total, over 60 juniors competed, and in doing so improved their LTA Mini Tennis Ratings. The 8&U Mini Red competition was won by Dean Cooper-Kirby (Totally Tennis Basingstoke) and Ben Warringer (Lee-on-Solent) who narrowly beat the team from Thornden Tennis Club.
Meanwhile Milford Tennis & Squash Club won the 9&U Orange competition with Alverstoke Tennis & Squash Club juniors winning the 10&U Green ball event later in the day.

It was the competition team at Fleming Park Tennis Centre who organised the event and ran it on the day.
Simon Johnson, Tennis Development Manager said "This annual event is fantastic as it allows children who are new to competition to come together, meet new friends, and play for fun".
