Three of Hampshire's top Young Competition Organisers have been rewarded with an invite to the National Tennis Centre in London next month.
The trio all trained as Young Competition Organisers and have been running junior competitions at their clubs over the last 12 months. They've all been invited, alongside other organisers from other counties, to an action-packed weekend in London, in recognition of all their hard work.
Jamie Cheetham
19 year old Jamie is currently doing the LTA Apprenticeship at Avondale Tennis Club in Fleet, Hampshire. The club have a fantastic competition programme, delivered by Jamie, which allows players of all ages and abilities to compete and improve the LTA rating.
Ben Jubin
The 18 year old from Basingstoke, Hampshire works part-time at Totally Tennis, an acreditted Beacon Site as well as Satellite Performance Club. Ben supports the large team of coaches in running timed tennis, matchplay events, and the week 5 competition programme, where all 200 players on the programme compete in squads.
Ben Mason
15 year old Ben is the youngest organiser nationally to be invited to London. As well as studying for his GCSE's, Ben support the Priory Tennis Centre in Portsmouth in running mini tennis competitions and timed tennis events for players with 10.1 & 10.2 ratings.
All three competition organisers have played a huge part in creating exciting new opportunities in Hampshire.
