The county were lucky enough to have a visit from the LTA President, Peter Bretherton, on Monday 9th December where he was given a whistle-stop tour of the county.
First stop was Barnt Green Sports Club where Peter saw the new court development which was completed a few years ago.

Peter then met with a few members of the committee, Martin Edwards and James Flynn as well as Head Coach Terry Franks. It is clear the investment has made a huge difference to the club which continues to work hard to drive membership and increase the numbers on their coaching and competition programmes.
After a few other visits, Peter had a quick lunch with members of the H&W Management Committee before finishing off at Manor Park to present them with their Clubmark renewal certificate. It was also a great opportunity to see their new clubhouse as well as have a tour around the club.
Peter thoroughly enjoyed his visit to the county saying “I was delighted that I could visit some of the places that I had heard about and finally revisit Malvern which has changed beyond all recognition since my last visit.”
Peter’s three year reign as LTA President comes to an end on Wednesday 11th December, so it was great to welcome him to the county during his time as President.
