Tennis Fever Hits Belbroughton

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

Who would have thought the promise of the cure for Tennis Fever would bring in new members ! With a quick call around local primary schools, timed to get in the weekly newsletter, and several emails with a photo of a victim suffering from said fever to local press, would reap such rewards.  The result was a very steady flow of new faces all through the day, especially young children.

What really made the day was the lone of the excellent Fun Factory kit from H&W County Office.  Young kids in particular found this great fun. For the older kids, as you can see from the photo, found the ball machine the biggest draw. Setting it to maximum topspin really got them concentrating.

All in all a very successful Open Day, and of course the weather might have had something to do with it…or was it the Andy Murray effect! Now then what disease can I come up with next year...Murrayitis...Murray mumps...
