Coaching Opportunity at Blakedown Tennis Club - Worcestershire

LTA licensed Coach with minimum qualification of level 3 at BLAKEDOWN TENNIS CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT FOR BLAKEDOWN TENNIS CLUB TENNIS & COACHING PROGRAMME.

Blakedown Tennis Club set in the heart of Worcestershire is a small club with great ambitions. With just over 50 members (Adult and Junior) playing on 3 tarmac tennis courts, 2 of which are floodlit, we participate in both the Slazenger Herefordshire & Worcestershire and Kidderminster Tennis Leagues with contributing teams including Men’s, Ladies and Mixed (A&B) doubles. We have a popular Club night on a Monday Evening and a mix-in session on a Friday morning.  

Wishing to develop together with our coach a framework for success that will grow both social and structured tennis as well as the membership base for our club we require a coach that can meet these needs and promote a relevant and sustainable tennis programme for 2014 (and onwards) that includes as a minimum,

• Local Schools Liaison Visits, Training and Coaching Programme – Encouraging teachers to become involved.
• Junior Tennis Growth Programme
• Tennis Leaders course
• Identify and develop future coaches, referees and competition organisers.
• Adult membership engagement – drive social involvement and competition for all ages and abilities.
• Develop and deliver successful Mini / Cardio / Tennis Xpress Sessions
• Develop robust and sustainable Junior and Adult Coaching Programmes
• Provide up to date and relevant feedback to Committee on Programme status as well as reports from Coaching/Club Forums & Newsletters.
• Support the Club to achieve Clubmark in the near future.
• Engage and contribute to Social Media Communication for BTC, including Web-site, Facebook and Twitter.
• Organise with the committee events to promote BTC Programme and Membership throughout the year.
• Participate in LTA, Local Authority and Village initiatives, for example GBTW (Great British Tennis Weekend) and Blakedown Bolt, as a promotional opportunity to promote activities and recruit members.

• Support Open Days and Recruitment Drives/Sessions.

This is a new start for us and we want to lay the foundations of a Tennis Programme that will allow Blakedown Tennis Club to grow and mature into a thriving and popular venue for social and structured tennis.
