The Annual General Meeting of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Lawn Tennis Association took place on Wednesday 27th November at 7.30pm at Malvern.
The President, Ian King, welcomed representation from 17 clubs. The meeting stood for a minute's silence to remember John Reid - a stawart of the county who had held many roles including Hon.Treasurer and League Organiser. John who passed away in November 2013 has been greatly missed.
In order to recognise long and dedicated service to the county Sue Sadler, Pauline Fisher and Philip and Carole Siviter were appointed Hon. Life Vice-Presidents of the Association.
Chair, Richard Herriman, presented the Annual Report of the Association and reported on another active year in which Jo Marks, only the 4th County Secretary since 1946, was elected.
Ruth Thompson, from Littletons Tennis Club was presented with Volunteer of the Year. Judith and Nigel Truswell had been awarded Volunteers of the Year at the recent Dinner Dance, when Bromsgrove Tennis Club had also received awards for both Junior Programme of the Year and Club of the Year.
Rory McCutcheon summarised the year's events with a screening of some special photographic memories. Nicola Hall reported on headline matters from the LTA and Nick Thomas presented the annual accounts.
Refreshments were served to the 35 people who attended and the meeting closed at 9.00 pm
