Malvern Tennis Academy staged an Ozzie Open 8U plus Parent Mini Tournament on Saturday 18 January at Manor Park
Demand for places was tremendous perhaps thanks to the jazzy poster our Tennis Leader, Paddy Hyde, produced for us and 27 pairs entered this fun event.
The players were divided in to two tournaments of 3 round robin groups as there was quite a disparity in standard (both parent and mini!) The winners from each of the 3 groups plus the best runner up then went in to a semi final and final.
Matches were timed. Refreshments included fresh orange slices to give an ozzie touch, biscuits and juice! The winning teams were Neil (Dad) and Sam Cassidy and Anna (Mum) and Tristan Reed.
