Day 1
On our first day of matches we only had the doubles to play against a very strong Warwickshire team. Kate and Alicia played as first pair losing 6-2 6-4 after coming back and almost drawing level in the second set. Imogen and Kirsten played as second pair and put up a great display just losing out in the match tie break 10-7.
Day 2
With a long day of matches ahead we resumed with the singles matches against Warwickshire. With all the girls playing higher ranked players the matches were always going to be tough. Georgina played a really good match just losing out 7-5 in third set. Kate, Kirsten and Alicia all put in good displays but lost out in straight sets.
After a short break the players were back on court to play the singles against North Wales. All the girls played really well with wins in straight sets for Kate, Alicia and Georgina. Imogen had probably the toughest task and put up a very spirited performance just losing out in the third set. In the doubles all the players put in fantastic displays with the pairs of Kate/Alicia and Kirsten/Georgina both winning 6-1 6-2.
Day 3
After a tiring couple of days we played in a third and fourth playoff against Durham and Cleveland. Wins in the singles for Georgina, Alicia and Kirsten put us 3-1 up after the singles. Kirsten and Imogen played fantastically to win 6-0 6-1 and very tired Kate and Alicia put up a great display just losing out in the match tie break leaving us with a 4-2 win and a 3rd place overall finish.
