Herefordshire & Worcestershire’s Ladies Over 40s captain Sarah McCormick bowed out in style after leading her team to championship success in National Division 2A.
It means H&W will play Division One next summer with McCormick moving up to the Over 50s.
H&W started the season with a strong 4-1 win over West of Scotland before a 5-0 thumping loss at the hands of Nottinghamshire.
But that was the last time they tasted defeat as they found their stride with victories over Durham & Cleveland (3-2), Oxfordshire (5-0) and Staffordshire (3-2) to earn promotion.
“I'd like to thank all the ladies who played for us this season: Emma Bowen, Jackie Burton, Sarah McCormick, Janet Mason, Beverley Morris, Tracy Nash, Jo Skym and Vicki Watts,” said McCormick.
“As I'm now moving up to the 50's I leave the team and the captaincy in the capable hands of Janet Mason and wish you all the very best for next season, it will be fun!”
