After a slightly damp start to the day, it was possible to use the grass courts at Moor Park from around 12.00 noon for the rest of the day and there were some excellent matches for the spectators to watch and a number of fine performances by our Herts players.
In the 14&U girls singles, Jessica Stone battled hard from a set down to win her match and Georgina Axon won the 12&U singles, beating fellow Herts junior Anna Philp. Lewis Andrews was runner up in the 14&U boys, as was Jason Burge in the 16&U event. Earlier in the week Nathan Gammon won the 9&U singles.
There was also success in the 14&U doubles with a win for Jack Turley and Sam Philp. There were also consolations wins for Sam Philp (14&U), Jack Corbin (12&U) and Jack Turley in the 16&U event.
