Will the remaining 30-40 members who have not taken their membership renewal notices, left in a box in the indoor court, please do so and save the club the high cost of postage. When completed you can post it in the white box in the clubroom and thereby save yourself postage. Memberships are due for renewal by 31st March.

On Wednesday, at the club, Bryan and I, plus David Kennaugh had a very pleasant reunion with a former island Junior player Trudi Barua, who is on the island sorting out family matters following the sad death of her mother Carole. We haven’t seen Trudi for at least 30-35 years, so there was a lot to talk about. Having been a player before the development of Albany’s facilities, she was very impressed and is coming to the club on Saturday to watch the Mini Red coaching. She lives in the south of England but said she is tempted to return to the Island. I do hope so – she would be a great asset to the club.

John – I’ll try and get a photo of us with Trudi on Saturday. I’ve got my new camera!
