Mike Piper - Chairman
Mike is a life-long keen tennis player, has represented the County at senior level and is currently President of The Leicestershire Lawn Tennis & Squash Club. He has a background in venture capital and private equity and was a Director of 3i plc for c10 years. He is now non-executive Chairman and investor in several local businesses. Mike is also a member of the Rotary Club of Leicester.
John Chapman – Director & Chairman of the Club Projects Committee
John has now stepped down as Chairman of Tennis Leicestershire after 6 years and is continuing to support the organisation by staying on the board. John enjoyed a successful business career and is also the Chairman of the Club Projects Committee. He is a good golfer and is a keen tennis player at Gynsill TC.
Mark Cox - President
Mark is a former British number one tennis player and world number 13. He has had a distinguished career in tennis including working in some key roles for the LTA and he has also worked as a television commentator.
Tony Jarvis - LTA Councillor & Lead Volunteer
Tony joined the Tennis Leicestershire Board of Directors in 2008. He is the LTA Councillor for Leicestershire representing the county at national level and is also the Leicestershire Lead Volunteer.
Geoff Bone - Director - Junior Championships
Geoff is a former Head of National Competition at the LTA and joined the Board of Tennis Leicestershire in 2008 with responsibiliy for competitions. Geoff is the Tournament Director for the Leicestershire Junior County Closed.
Kate Stock - Company Secretary
Kate joined the Tennis Leicestershire Board in February 2013 and is a familiar face to tennis players in Leicestershire. Kate has a long standing involvement with Syston Northfields TC and is also a the Treasurer of the Senior County Closed Committee.
Neil Phillips – Director & Chairman of Media and Events Committee
Neil Phillips is a lifelong tennis player and has represented Leicestershire at junior, senior and veterans' level.He also represented Leicestershire at rugby union and played a handful of games for Leicester Tigers in the 1970s.
Before coming to Leicester he played football for Lancashire schools whilst living in his native Blackpool. He has been chairman of Great Glen Tennis Club for the last eleven years. He is currently chairman of Tennis Leicestershire's Media and Events committee. Now semi-retired, Neil has been in practice as a chartered surveyor for the last 40 years.
Richard Wilson - Director - Competition
Richard joined the Board of Tennis Leicestershire in 2013 and is the Chairman of the Competitions Committee. Richard runs his own coaching business that deliver programmes across a number of clubs in Leicestershire.
