Tennis Leicestershire invited a number of club volunteers from around the county to a specially organised volunteer lunch at the Aegon Classic Tournament at the Edgbaston Priory Tennis Club in Birmingham on Wednesday 10th June.
The lunch was for volunteers from across the Midlands to thank them for the important contribution they make to providing tennis opportunities in the area. The lunch included a presentation from Van Willerton, Tennis Operations Manager for the Midlands, on some of the notable successes that have been achieved in the region over the last year.
Following the lunch, the volunteers had the opportunity to watch some of the tennis, including Maria Sharapova in action, before a heavy downpour brought a premature end to the days play.
