Two county players competed in the prestigious AEGON Winter Grand Prix Masters on the 16 & 17 January.
Leicester's Connor Glennon and Helen Thorpe, from Melton Mowbray, earned their place by invitation only from the Lawn Tennis Association, after producing impressive performances at national level competitions over the last few months.
The tournament is taking place at the LTA's National Tennis Centre in Roehampton and is considered to be the pinnacle of the winter British tennis season, showcasing some of the best young talent in the country.
The overall winner in both male and female sections will not only pick up the coveted AEGON Winter Masters trophy but also receive a wild-card entry to an AEGON Pro Series, which are international events seen as the first step on the professional ladder.
