Tennis Leicestershire are very pleased to announce that Penny McCrorie has been appointed as the new County Competition Organiser. Penny will work alongside outgoing Competition Organiser Richard Wilson for the next two months before formally taking over the role on 1st September.
Penny will be a familiar face to most people around the county having previously done the County Tournament Co-ordinator role and she is also the Treasurer at Charnwood LTC. Penny will be involved with organising a number of events around Leicestershire including the Road to Wimbledon, Fallows and Mercury Cup and the tournament programme at the county centre at Loughborough.
Paul Sheard, LTA Tennis Development Manager for Leicestershire and Derbyshire commented "We are delighted to welcome Penny back into the county team. She has a huge amount of experience organising tennis competitions and will be a real asset as we strive to further improve competitive opportunities in Leicestershire. I would also like to pay tribute to outgoing Competition Organiser Richard Wilson who has done a tremedous job over the last two years."
