Leicester's Zara Jurenko has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Special Olympics' European Summer Games in Poland.
She will compete in the tennis event at Warsaw from September 18 to 24.
Jurenko, 22, is a 12-times gold medalist in the event and won three golds at last year's National Summer Games held in Leicester.
She started the year by winning the Special Ability award at Tennis Leicestershire's annual award evening.
She said: "I am very excited at being selected for the European Games as I have not been to one before.
"I love to be in the Special Olympics, I meet friends who are just like me.
"I play sports and win medals, meet famous people and get to compete in different countries."
Since joining Special Olympics Great Britain in 2001, she has become the most decorated female tennis player in Special Olympics history.
