The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has announced the 23 British players, including Leicestershire's Katie Boulter, who have been offered Team AEGON contracts for 2012 and will therefore receive the highest level of support from the LTA.
The Team AEGON programme provides financial assistance to players as well as training support at their chosen performance venue either in the UK or abroad.
It also includes international travel assistance and provides players with a range of sport science support including medical, physical, psychological and nutritional assistance.
Those performance players not retained for Team AEGON will continue to receive support from the LTA in the form of supplementary funding, international travel assistance, access to the National Tennis Centre, and the Tournament Bonus Incentive scheme which rewards success for players competing in Futures and Challenger events as well as on the WTA/ATP Tours.

The Team AEGON programme is the pinnacle of that funding and selection for the programme is based upon demonstrating the very highest level of performance, and the potential to compete against the very best tennis players in the world.
