Lutterworth TC in Leicestershire were celebrating recently after being awarded LTA clubmark accreditation. The four court club have become the twenty third tennis club in Leicestershire to achieve the accreditation.
Tennis Clubmark recognises good practice in tennis clubs in areas including action planning, tennis development programmes, policies and procedures and communication. Lutterworth have been working hard during recent months to put together the Tennis Clubmark folder with evidence of their range of activities and how the club is run.
Paul Sheard, LTA Tennis Development Manager for Leicestershire and Derbyshire visited Lutterworth to present the clubmark plaque and congratulate members of the club committee on their efforts.
“I would like to congratulate Lutterworth TC on achieving clubmark accreditation. Dave Lowden and the club committee has done a fantastic job pulling together all the evidence required to meet the tennis clubmark criteria and show that they are meeting the quality benchmark set out by Sport England. It’s been a great effort by the club and its volunteers and demonstrates their commitment to provide the best possible opportunities and environment for the local tennis community” said Paul.
The club will now turn their attention to to a facility development project where they are looking to build an additional floodlit court at the club, as well as adding floodlights to one of the existing courts.
