Performance Enhancement Research

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Lisa Whitaker is a PhD student at Leeds Metropolitan University researching performance enhancement in sport. The aim of her research is to gain further understanding of athletes’ attitudes and beliefs towards performance enhancement in order to inform anti-doping education.

Her study is aimed at athletes over the age of 18 from any sport, who compete at any level including local club, county, national and international level.

However, she is particularly keen to increase the number of tennis players in her sample so that that she has a good representation from a number of different sports. The study involves completing an online questionnaire and provides an ideal opportunity for people to voice their opinions and attitudes towards performance enhancement in sport.
