The National Tennis Centre played host to the AEGON Team Tennis Premier 12&U-18&U Finals as eight winning teams were crowned as Premier division winners. Bathed in sunshine throughout the whole weekend, a great atmosphere spread around the grounds as each match drew closer to conclusion in a format where each match is played on just one court with team captains allowed courtside to speak to players at change of ends.
Each team at the Team Tennis finals had earned their place by winning their respective Tier 1 regional division which took place between April and June. The finals in each event put together the winners from the North, Midlands, South West and South East divisions who played Semi-Final rounds on Saturday with the Finals and ¾ playoffs taking place on Sunday.
The closest Finals of the day came in the 12&U events as both the girls and boys finals were decided by a match tie-break shootout. In two very high energy, and high quality matches, it was Coombe Dingle Girls and Loughborough Tennis Boys (Rahul Dhokia, Harry Finney, Ying Hou, Alex Lunn and Reuben Shahidullah) who prevailed to earn the title of Premier 12&U champions.
