On 15th December, Hamilton defended their title as Fallow Cup holders and left victorious for the 5th successive year. The team was made up of the two boys who represented Hamilton last year – James Rowe and Ryan Parmar and they were joined by two new faces to the Fallow Cup – Beth Lowe and Sibella Chew.
For the first time in many years, Kibworth were the other finalists. They brought a team of equal strength – Matt Richmond, Brett Parlour, Lorna Grubb and Olivia Weston. It was difficult to call which way the final would go.
The boys match was very exciting with great rallies and a huge amount of court coverage from all four players. It was very close, with Hamilton winning 6-4 6-4. Hamilton girls dominated their match from the start winning 6-4 6-2. With the two rubbers in the bag there was no need to play the mixed doubles.
The whole event had such a wonderful atmosphere this year with a large number of spectators who enjoyed some great competitive tennis from all eight players. Congratulations to everyone!
