Charnwood Tennis Club held a St George’s Day special on Saturday, April 21, with members encouraged to come along wearing red and white.
So, despite the intermittent April showers, players appeared as requested and enjoyed an afternoon of tennis followed by home made refreshments in the recently refurbished clubhouse.
The day followed last Tuesday’s club evening when players were able to enter a ballot to enable them to buy Wimbledon tickets when many members were fortunate to land themselves some great seats.
In two weeks time the Summer League matches will start and so these are busy times for the club.
