The Loughborough University Open ran from 29th July to 2nd August 2013. This year the event focused on Singles events and there was a good entry across the board for the boys and girls although 2 girls’ events were cancelled after some withdrawals.
The weather was kind to us, other than the Wednesday - we were fortunate to have use of all eight indoor courts on that day.
There was a good atmosphere created by players and spectators with some familiar faces from last year and some new spectators spanning from toddlers to a 99 year old great- grandmother.
I thoroughly enjoyed organising the event and hope to see many of you next year.
