Top class wheelchair tennis is coming to town this weekend as the first ever Loughborough Wheelchair Tennis Open is held.
The event is being run by the award winning Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club and is taking place at the Dan Maskell Tennis Centre at Loughborough University on Saturday and Sunday February 8 and 9 between 9am and 5pm.
Sme of the top wheelchair talents in the country will be on show with free entry to spectators.
The tournament organiser is GB Paralympic Tennis Coach Martyn Whait and will be refereed by Patrick Smith with a great team of ball kids from Loughborough LTC helping keep the days running smoothly.
The club's Jonny Rudge, said: "The hope is that this will become an incredibly popular fixture on the calendar for years to come, bringing yet more quality tennis to Loughborough to add to the already growing number of events to watch. Hopefully it'll inspire a new generation of wheelchair players to pick up rackets too."
