If they were shocked to win the Charnwood Sports Awards club of the Year, Loughborough LTC were even more shocked when it was announced at the Mercury Sports Awards that they had won Club of the Year for all sports across the whole of Leicestershire and Rutland!
In a very strong field, the club received the award for their work increasing levels of participation in all areas of club sport, from beginners to performance players (including 4 County Champions), from tots to veterans and across a wide range of disability groups. The club has managed to both attract/develop new players in each of these areas and also raise participation levels amongst those who are already members.
