The Lincolnshire men's team gained promotion to Division 5 following wins on all five days at Hunstanton.
Lincolnshire ladies maintained their position in Group 6 following a closely contested week in Ilkley.
Playing for the mens team were James Lake, Edward Allinson, James White, James Shacklock, Will Mason, Martin Fincham, Mark Thompson and Alec Allen.
Promotion was sealed with victories against North Wales, Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire, Avon and the Channel Islands.
All the men played well and picked up lots of rubbers but particularly impressive were Shacklock and Mason who belied their youth (and in Shacklock’s case recent elbow surgery) to win 10 out of 12 over the first four days.
The ladies team was made up of Charlie Windley, Helen Povah, Danielle Smith, Sophie Cousins, Emma Tomlinson, Jane Hunter, Sally Pearson and Faye Button. Wins against Bedfordshire and Gloucestershire were enough to ensure Group 6 tennis in 2010.
Number one pair Sally Pearson and Charlie Windley were in great form winning 9 out of 11 rubbers that they played together! Congrats to the team and to all those that played!
