September 09

All new ratings will go live on the LTA website on Monday 21 September and all players will be emailed with their new rating.

Any player wishing to appeal against their issued rating can do so between 21 - 28 September via submission of a form through the LTA website.

Competition is at the heart of British Tennis.

Tennis competition age groups are determined by the age of a player from 1st January, so for example to compete in a 12U competition from 1st September 2009 you must be born in either 1998 or 1999.

At the moment, due to the winter season starting in September, players move age groups at the end of the summer season. This means players compete in the same competition age groups against the same players for the whole of the winter season.
