Horncastle Tennis Club to receive Inspired Facilities funding

Friday, February 01, 2013

Horncastle Tennis Club will receive £49,599 of National Lottery funding towards building a Clubhouse. The Clubhouse will become the hub of the Tennis Centre providing much needed space for socialising, toilet and changing space, office, store and treatment room. The position and design will ensure good visibility of the courts, engaging parents with their children’s activities and encouraging more adults to take part.  Enclosed within a secure boundary fence the clubhouse will provide safe, easy access to shelter and facilities for players of all ages. With a busy schedule of training and matches for U8 to Veterans all year round the clubhouse will be used daily.

Horncastle Tennis Club is one of hundreds of projects across England benefitting from lottery investment through the third round of the Inspired Facilities fund. Many more communities will also be able to benefit from the fund, with a further two rounds remaining. Bids will be accepted for the fourth round of Inspired Facilities Funding from the 4th March 2013.  You can find out more at www.sportengland.org/inspiredfacilities
