14 year old Josh Lane of the Ambergate School began playing tennis last year and was the youngest competitor to take part in the Men's Singles event at the 10th annual Learning Disability Tournament held at Nottingham Tennis Centre recently.
This tournament featured players with experience of The Special Olympics and players travelled from Scotland, Wales and all parts of England to take part.
Despite a few nervous moments, Josh got into his stride serving incredibly well and earned an invite to a series of Learning Disability Tennis workshops in 2014.
He's now back at Grantham Tennis Club working on perfecting a killer forehand, just like his favourite player Andy Murray.
Well done Josh from all of us and especially form Richard Edgely, Josh's Tennis Coach at Grantham Tennis Club
