Lincs faced Nottinghamshire & Northamptonshire on day one.
In our first game against Notts Joe Mackey & Max Jones lost their Singles at 1 & 2 respectively but Will Cheer won at three to keep us in the game, unfortunately Max and Joe weren't able to capitalise in the doubles and we just missed out.
Our second game against Northamptonshire saw us 2-1 up after the singles with wins from Will Cheer and George Burkitt. In the Doubles Will paired up with Joe Soutar but just missed out to take the fixture to a shootout. Lincs missed out on the shootout giving Northants the win.
Day 2's first fixture was always going to be the toughest there were some great performances from all players and Will Cheer managed a great singles win, but this was the only rubber we won resulting in a 3-1 win to Warwickshire.
Our final fixture against Leicstershire was looking to be equally as tough, Lincs were 2-1 down after the singles. A solid win from Joe Soutar at 3 kept us in the match, then Joe paired up with Will Cheer in the doubles.
Joe and Will won the first set 4-1. However in the second set Leicstershire dug deep and took it 5-3. In the Match Tie break Will and Joe regained their composure and won it 10-6 leaving the Match tied at 2 -2.
Following the sucess of their doubles win, Will and Joe were chosen to play the shootout. Facing 2 match points the crowd was on the edge of their seats, Will and Joe held their nerve and eventually managed a superb 14-12 win - a real crowd pleaser!!!
