Having already beaten Somerset and Nottinghamshire, a win against Cheshire on the last day would guarentee promotion to Div 2 of Aegon Cuounty Cup.
Despite everyones best efforts it wasn't meant to be. Norfolk lost out in some hard fought battles, the score line not always showing a true reflection of the match. We were at 3 all after the singles round so needed 2 of the doubles. Our doubles hadn't let us down yet but Cheshire put in 3 strong pairs and this time we couldn't close it out. We went 5-3 down whilst olivia and amy were still on court. Olivia was looking for 6 out of 6 wins for the weekend and was edged out by a match tie break 3rd set losing 17-15. All the girls fought hard and played well throughout the weekend. There was great team spirit and support from every player especially Talitha and Chloe. Well done to Frances and Vianne on their 1st ladies winter county cup and we now look forward to next year's events.
