Vacancy: Racquets Manager: Norwich, Norfolk
Are you an excellent tennis player with good racquets industry knowledge and a racquets coaching qualification? Do you have a track record of success in managing day-to-day operations and delivering a commercial racquets programme? Then Virgin Active would like to hear from you.
Join us as Racquets Manager and we’ll look to you to ensure we offer the best facilities, have the best coaching team in place and put on the best events in the region. Whether recruiting coaches, working with the General Manager to develop and deliver a cohesive business plan, reviewing financial targets or devising a marketing plan, one thing’s for sure – you won’t be short of challenge and variety.
A self-starter with lots of energy and enthusiasm and plenty of expertise gained playing tennis to at least county level, you’re used to leading and motivating others and always willing to try new ideas. What’s more, as well as enjoying physical activity, sport and fitness in general you’re at home engaging with everyone from members through to the club’s leadership team and the LTA, whilst your operational management experience includes an understanding of P&L, revenue drive and cost control. It is essential that you are a Level 4 LTA Licenced Coach with a first aid qualification.

This is a full time position working 40 hours a week and you must be be flexible to work shifts around the needs of the business. Our opening hours are 6.30am - 11pm Monday - Friday and 7am - 9pm during the weekend.
