Congratulations to Monica who competed in the Nottingham TC Winter National Tour 12U Girls this week at Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Monica won her first two rounds comfortably. She was then tested in the quarter final by a player from North Wales. Monica fought well to claim the first set 7-5 and won comfortably 6-0 in the second set.
She was confident in the semifinal winning over a player from Nottinghamshire 6-1, 6-1 and was through to the final. Monica tried hard in the final against a player from Suffolk but settled with the runner up medal.
Last year was very good for Monica who tops the national leader board for the age group 12U girls and is expected to claim 3rd place in her ranking nationally for the end of year 2014.
