Richard Palmer, President of Norfolk LTA presents Richard Bloomfield with a tankard in recognition of his outstanding services to county tennis.
Last Saturdays event at Easton College Tennis Centre was organized to showcase the county junior squads wearing new sponsored tracksuits. Local company Smith and Pinching Financial Services have offered financial support to tennis in the county and the tracksuits are just one part of the arrangement.
It was a great opportunity for all county juniors to hear about Richards career. He reached a career high ATP ranking of 184, played Wimbledon 5 times and was also part of a GB Davis Cup Squad. Despite a hectic tournament schedule which took him all over the world, Richard would always return home to support the county in various tournaments.
Richard is currently coaching at Culford School and taking the LTA Master Performance coaching award.
