Last weekend saw the official opening of the four brand new tennis courts at Eaton Park. These courts are at the heart of a community tennis programme in Norwich.
The new facility, which cost £250,000 and benefitted from matched funding from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), with support from Sport England and Norwich City Council, will offer a high quality, affordable tennis programme to people of all ages and abilities.
One of the council’s aspirations for the project – which is called Norwich Parks Tennis – is for it to be awarded beacon status by The Tennis Foundation and LTA. Norwich Parks Tennis, run by ea tennis, offers everything from tots tennis, junior coaching, adult coaching, cardio tennis, holiday camps, lots of opportunities to play in tennis tournaments, disability tennis is on offer and free family tennis days.
