Disability Coach Education Day - Sportspark Norwich
10.00am - 3.30pm
The day is packed with informal and interactive workshops delivered by experienced tutors covering their relevant topic of expertise. This day is targeted at coaches currently working with disabled athletes, and coaches looking to begin work with athletes with disabilities.
The day is FREE to attend and we will provide lunch for every delegate. The format is as follows:
Registration and Welcome & Refreshments - 9.30am
Presentations from various speakers from Public Health, District Councils, Social Workers - 10.00am to 11.30pm
Presentation from Greg Simmons, tutor for English Federation of Disability Sport and champion of inclusive coaching - 11.30am - 12.00pm
Lunch (provided for all candidates) - 12.00pm to 12.30pm
Afternoon Briefing - 12.30pm to 12.45pm
Visual Impairment & Session Adaption workshops with Greg Simmons and Nick Clarke - 12.45pm to 2.45pm
These practical workshops will be delivered by Greg Simmons and Nick Clarke, Intirim Head of Public Health from Norfolk County Council. Nick is also an experienced Goalball coach and was a a Goalball official at the Paralympic Games that took place in London.
