Monica was seeded number three for the tournament. She focused and had prepared well and was determined to take on this challenge against the top girls in the country. She sailed through the first two round and the Quarter Final relatively comfortably.
In the semi final, she played against the number one seeded girl from Bolton and won the match in a thrilling three sets. Score 5-7, 6-1, 10-7 (match tie breaker).
In the final she then thrashed the number two seeded girl from the same club 6-2, 6-0 in straight sets to claim the championship!
