Tennis for Life held it's Annual Awards event recently to celebrate their tennis successes. Over 100 awards were presented to a variety of tennis players from 5 years old and upwards.
Both abled and disable players received awards. Head coach, Donna Andrews thanked the Tennis Foundation and Norfolk Lawn Tennis Association for their support in funding tennis groups for those with Visual impairments and learning difficulties during the year. Without their support these groups could not take place.
The main awards of the evening saw Volunteers Kate Shearer, Matthew Isbill, Abi Sutherland and Advik Chitre's recognised for their work in various volunteering work within tennis. Box league girls winner was shared between Rebecca Mainprize and Joy Andrews, while the boys winner was Harris Tzokas. Family of the year went to the Chitre family. The top Star prize award went to Ruhi Chitre for all her work playing tennis and volunteering. 12 players were also honoured for their 10 years and more commitment to Tennis for Life. Donna Andrews also thanked sponsors Pacific for supporting the event.
