Collingwood tennis clubs girls 16&U and 12&U teams capped a historic season by winning all 4 of the Northumberland and Durham girls leagues.
At a time when many clubs are struggling to enter even one girls team, Collingwoods girls had a team in every league and ended winning them all. Collingwood girls 16&U A team, made up of Laura Van Ransbeke, Ailsa Denholm, Esmai Jonczyk-Brown, Samm Brown and Kirsty Hall, topped the girls 16&U A league with 4 wins out of 5, with Van Ransbeke and Denholm doing particularly well going the entire season unbeaten.
The girls 16&U B team of Hannah Chapman, Joanne Cooper, Amy Hedworth, Lauren Wall, Adeline Myburgh and Molly Robinson, won the girls 16&U B league by one win.
Collingwoods girls 12&U A team won all 5 matches to top the Northumberland and Durham A league with 83% wins. Laura Van Ransbeke and Emily Harrison formed an unbeatable doubles team again going unbeaten over the season. Laura Day, Molly Robinson and Lucy Cox were a solid number 3, 4 and 5 who backed this up and along with debuts from B team players Mia Wallace and Anna Winship, the team won the title convincingly.
Some competitive perfromances from the girls 12&U B team of Mia Wallace, Clara Loughlin, Anna Winship , Jasmine Hacioglu and Libby Hall saw them win the N&D B league with 5 wins from 5 and an equally good 83% win rate. The girls 12&U B team have done fantastically well to win the league in their first year especially as they are all 10 years old and have another two years in the competition.
