Northumberland LTA Chairman, Chris Lott, has won the LTA's National Volunteer Award for the month of June 2013.
Chris has been chairman of NLTA for a number of years now and has volunteered for various roles within tennis, for both the county and his local club, Ponteland.
The LTA has recently started a 'Volunteer Award' to recognise all the hard work volunteers do within our sport, and without whom we would not have half the success in tennis that we do. Chris was one of the first people in the country nominated for the award, and was a perfect choice to win. The award was started in April of this year, and Chris won June's award.
Jenny Box, the LTA's Volunteer and Engagement Manager, came up to Northumberland to present Chris with the award yesterday at the Northumberland LTA President's Tea and the NLTA Awards evening which takes place during the Adderstone Foundation Northumberland Open tournament.
It was a thoroughly deserved award and fitting it could be presented to him on a night where so many people within the county are recognised for the hard work they put into our sport. Congratulations to Chris!
