The North East and Cumbria region is going from strength to strength with all three counties growing their numbers and reaching great milestones with their British Tennis Membership (BTM) numbers. Cumbria has now got over 2000 BTM, Northumberland is at nearly 3500 and Durham & Cleveland have now smashed the 5000 marker which is an incredible achievement!
This means that there are over 10,000 people in the region who are involved in playing; competing and who are getting involved with tennis within tennis clubs and tennis facilities within the northeast and Cumbria region. There are some international events coming up in our region at Sunderland Tennis Centre with the AEGON GB Pro Series 17-24 March 2013 and International Tennis Federation North East Wheelchair Tennis Tournament 25th-28th February 2013. Both are free entry to come and watch.
