Cullercoats Tennis Club will be opening its doors and offering free tennis on Sunday 29 June from 2pm to 5pm as part of Great British Tennis Weekend.
2013 was a landmark year for British Tennis. This summer is set to be even bigger with a nation of watchers set to become a nation of players thanks to a series of free and fun events for families set to hit the UK. The Great British Tennis Weekend will see over 1,000 venues across Britain open their doors for a series of four weekends – inspiring over 50,000 men, women and children to pick up a racket and hit the court – for free
Anyone who comes to Cullercoats will be able to get involved in family sessions and adult coaching all completely free. Rackets and tennis balls will be provided so anyone and everyone can get involved whether they’ve never tried tennis before, want to get back into the game or are a regular player.
People can turn up on the day or register in advance at www.greatbritishtennisweekend.com. Refreshments will be available.
