Tennis @ Churchill is the first Northumberland venue to achieve Tennismark Plus status, which is the best level of accreditation for tennis venues across the Country.
There are two levels of Accreditation. The first is Tennismark and second is Tennismark+. Both Accreditations are the tennis-specific version of Clubmark implemented by Sport England in 2006.
Tennismark recognises that a venue provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. Tennismark + offers all the above but in addition offers a high quality programme of activity.
Tennis @ Churchill aimed to achieve the higher tier status and have been working tirelessly to ensure everything is in place. The venue achieved the status and will hold the accreditation for the next 12 months.
Phil Givens (Head Coach) highlighted the hard work,

We have worked tirelessly over the years which have seen programmes introduced for the whole family not only in North Tyneside but across the North East. The facility is open for all and Tennismark + cements everything we can offer!”
