The Inclusive Family Sports Day took place on Saturday 27 July 2013 at the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham

East Bridgford Tennis Club's Murray Mania Open Day consisted of a fantastic schools tournament sandwiched by a free lesson and then the chance to hit with the ball machine.

A Picnic in the Park to celebrating 50 years of Clifton Playing Fields

Vernon Park in Basford was featured as one of 39 park venues over the country to hold a Great British Tennis Weekend event last weekend.

 

Players from East Midlands Special Olympics Tennis Group clinched four singles gold medals on home soil as Nottingham hosted its annual Learning Disability Tennis Tournament for the fourth successive year over the weekend of 10-11 August.

Bingham’s David Phillipson goes into this week’s Trofeo della Mole in Turin buoyed by a rise of two places in this week’s men’s singles wheelchair tennis rankings after reaching his fourth singles final of the year last week in Poland.

Now in its fifth year, the tournament was again held at the LTA County Ground over the weekend of the 27th and 28th July. Happily the recent run of good weather held and all the matches were completed without any interruptions for rain

Welbeck Tennis Club held its Murraymania event on 14 July 2013 with a tennis and BBQ event for all members, friends and family. 

Lady Bay Tennis Club held a Murray Mania campaign on the back of his marvellous win at Wimbledon. The aim was to build on the excitement of his win and to introduce lots of children to the sport

Millie Delvey-Smith qualified from the county finals of Road to Wimbledon to play on the hallowed turf at Wimbledon.

Millie-Mae Matthews recently reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Open Championships for Girls 10 and Under Green - a Grade 2 national competition event.  This was her first semi-final at this level.    She also went on to play in the National Finals at Bournmouth last week.

Well done, Millie-Mae!

David Phillipson has moved up to No. 21 in both the men’s singles and men’s doubles world rankings this week after completing back-to-back NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour events with a place in his third final in two weeks over the weekend in Italy.
