Mapperley Park Tennis Club Open Day 2016
Mapperley Park Tennis Club held its annual Open day on Sunday May 17th and thus benefitted from the support and advertising from the LTAs Great British Tennis Weekend. The juniors were the first to take part in some fun tennis oriented games and coaching. This was followed by thirst quenching drinks, snacks , Great British Tennis Weekend wristbands and a spontaneous game of run and tickle. The sound of childrens laughter echoed through the club house and sun patio. Some of the parents joined in together with other grown ups for the adult session, (tennis not run and tickle😊) once again coached by our own Simon McBride. The day proved successful with children and adults having a fun and relaxed introduction to the great game of tennis and to Mapperley Park Tennis Club.
