Hanney Tennis Club members pounded the courts in 30 degree heat on Sunday in their annual Club Championship finals.
Member Jim Gulliver was on court for five straight sets over 3 1/2 hours in a hard-fought mixed doubles match then finally triumphing in a men's competition - before rushing off to Heathrow for an afternoon flight to Houston, Texas.
Despite the heat, the quality of the tennis was excellent with tremendous energy shown by the players in running down every ball with real 'Andy Murray' determination.
